Senior .NET Developer/ SharePoint Developer
DEG is currently looking for a Senior .NET Developer with SharePoint 2010 to join our Kansas City team. Individuals in this position will work directly with our Fortune 1000 clients and will be responsible for a variety of project responsibilities, while focusing on the technical aspects of developing SharePoint solutions. This is an exciting opportunity as we are in the process of experimenting with and adopting newer technologies (MVC 2, EF4, NServiceBus, MongoDB), coding best practices (BDD/TDD, IoC, CI) and Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum). Greenfield development is commonplace and innovation is encouraged. Building innovative solutions on-time and on-budget with low technical debt, along with good system designs and executable code, will ensure success in this role.
A deep understanding of the SharePoint platform is preferred and applicants should have an extensive background of installation, configuration, customization and solution deployment. Candidates must have hands-on experience configuring and deploying major SharePoint solutions in large corporate environments. The position is open for candidates seeking full time salaried employment.
Responsibilities
Candidates should have excellent communication skills and hands-on experience working on component based applications in a distributed environment. Qualified candidates should possess:
• Proven experience with Enterprise applications
• Work independently or on a team to design, build, stabilize and deploy applications using SharePoint and/or several core technologies including Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, XML, Web Services and C#
• Proven experience developing custom solutions with SharePoint 2010 and 2013.
• Experience with Agile Software Development
• A demonstrated ability to develop and debug these custom SharePoint components using Visual Studio and C#: web parts, workflows (serial / state machine), membership providers, list definitions, site definitions, list event handlers and timer jobs (optional)
• Participate in customer team meetings to gather business and technical requirements for projects
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing project status and deliverables
• Apply and share knowledge; contribute ideas and opinions
Qualifications
• Microsoft certification
• Hands on experience developing and deploying custom SharePoint 2010 or 2013 solutions in a large enterprise environment
• Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
• Proven ability to understand a customers needs
• Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives
• Experience developing solutions leveraging Windows Identity Foundation (WIF)
• Strong customer service skills
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field
