Job Description

The Process Engineer is responsible for providing manufacturing support for day-to-day long-term operations ensuring a safe work enviornment while controlling cost and increasing reliability.

Job Requirements

• Support Environmental Safety and Health Compliance
• Maintain Quality Control/Quality Assurance
• Provide Process Support

• Monitor production data, develop correction plans as needed and identify areas of improvement
• Address operator needs
• Demonstrate applied knowledge of unit operations
• Troubleshoot process (electrical, chemical and mechanical) issues
• Improve mechanical reliability
• Support process design/redesign
• Improve yields
• Utilize data driven decision methodology
• Work closely with production supervisors to identify , develop and implement process improvements

Cost Management

• Accurate estimates of financial impacts from planned projects
• Assist in preparation of forecasts
• Identify options in unplanned events and changing business conditions
• Initiate capacity improvement projects
• Develop and maintain system to measure effectiveness

Asset Management

• Support capital improvement projects

Education and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 3-5 years of plant manufacturing support experience preferred
• Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques including plant operations
• Strong computer/spreadsheet application skills
• Ability to safely exit out of the plant in the event of an emergency
