Job Description

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must have full awareness of and comply with safety policies and PPE use.
• Load and unload rolls. Change boats, boat holders, wire spools, wire tubes, and wire feeds as needed.
• Set up machine for the proper roll to be run (product and dimensions).
• Maintain product quality in acceptable range per specifications
• Perform production paperwork by using computer applications in tracking production information associated with each roll.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customers as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate initiative in learning new operations.
• Ability to work as a cooperative part of a crew and be an enthusiastic learner of new skills.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on the equipment
• Develop leadership skills to be able to assist Shift Leader
• Perform daily, weekly and periodic ERP system feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS) REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB

Ability to multi task and prioritize assignments

Good visual observation skills

Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills

Ability to perform mathematical calculations

Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

 

Education Requirements:
High School diploma or GED plus technical training beyond high school
