Materials Technical Advisor at Wichita

Job Description

The Materials Technical Advisor will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. This individual will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition you will:

  • Be responsible for material and kitting support at remote locations with no current non-exempt employees onsite
  • Provide direction, material support, inventory planning and control
  • Schedule, resolve issues, track material availability, and advise on material usage
  • Design and implement processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials
  • Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships
  • Attain all aspects of production operation including safety, scheduling, quality, and team development in assigned areas
  • Be responsible for data driven decisions and utilizing Six Sigma tools

    Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in materials or manufacturing role)

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Additional experience in a manufacturing role
  • PC proficiency and data warehouse / production planning experience
  • Effective team player and facilitator
  • Six Sigma training is preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
