Exciting Opportunities Ahead! vtrIT has partnered with a financial company in Overland Park in search of a world class Manager of Global Credit, Underwriting and Collections.This person will report functionally to the Chief Financial Officer and administratively to the parent company Vice President Credit and Risk requiring close alignment with fast paced business units, consisting of over 50,000 accounts over 15 programs.This candidate must embrace the company culture which values integrity, relationships, performing with excellence, passion, credibility and wellness.Responsibilities include:

• Interfaces and provides guidance to all underwriting and collections teams worldwide, ensuring achievement of both service and financial targets and goals. Responsible for company-wide and program specific policies and procedures and respective compliance with such policies.
• Monitors performance to ensure that all project milestones and Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met. Responsible for accurate, efficient, well-structured business process requirements and workflow procedures. Responsible for cross-program sharing of best practices where possible, and ensure consistent/effective execution.
• Works with Line-of-Business Officers and Directors for all aspects of credit management as it relates to their program responsibilities.
• Provides support to Line-of-Business Officers or Directors to grow sales and bring in new business, increase the number and size of accounts, and expand programs
• Responsible for up line portfolio operation and performance reporting to Parent Company
• Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the underwriting and credit activities and processes as well as productivity, quality and service delivery of programs. Develop and track key performance initiatives to drive improved performance
• Ensure concentration of risk is identified and monitored, industry trends are monitored and appropriate actions taken to limit corporate risk
• Negotiate insurance policies and file claims as well as negotiate balance settlements and works with insurance brokers to obtain cost effective coverage.
• Responsible for identification and limitation of bad debt expense and charge-offs. Coordinates handling of bankruptcies through parent company legal department.
• Coach, mentor and motivate department management and staff as well as oversee the ongoing training, professional development, growth and certification of all staff.
• Attend Parent Company team meetings as appropriate.
• Be involved with appropriate national organizations.
• Negotiate acceptance, monitor use and renewals of letter of credit, corporate guarantees, government data bases, and other security issues

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Several years experience managing business to business underwriting, and large corporate credit operations
• Experience analyzing corporate financial statements
• Professional development and continuing education evidencing strong knowledge of Credit, Business Finance and Accounting.
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution/problem solving skills a priority
• Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills along with a strong attention to detail are critical
• Highly intuitive nature in order to detect potential concerns while assessing credit worthiness
• Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required; advanced skills preferred.
• Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree in related field preferred. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced skills in data analysis tools in Excel.
