Job Description
Position Summary:
This position works on the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) technical team and is responsible for application development and coding, requirements gathering, system support and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and maintain web-based entry and reporting interfaces to SQL Server databases using ASP.Net, C#, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, ADO.NET.
- Create and modify SQL Server database objects to support functional requirements.
- Maintain current documentation for technical processes.
- Assist in requirements gathering and application design.
- Use TFS for source control and team collaboration.
- Perform other duties required by the NDNQI client or assigned by NDNQI Operations Manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field. Fulltime, professional work experience in programming may be substituted for required education on a year for year basis.
- At least 1 year fulltime, professional job experience coding in ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript.
- At least 1 year fulltime, professional job experience writing HTML and CSS.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Visual Studio.Net 2010 development environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and follow direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience writing stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers in SQL Server environment.
- Experience working with XML in a .NET environment.
- Familiarity with Team Foundation Server preferred, other source control systems acceptable.
- Database modeling and design experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
