This is an on-site position at our clients facility in Carthage, MO. Relocation assistance will be provided.

• Establish project schedule and budget and monitor progress in meeting schedule and budget requirements
• Document and execute changes in scope of project
• Anticipate problems and work with client, engineering, OEMs, subcontractors, and project team to provide corrective actions
• Develop and execute projects within budget, schedule and contractual commitments
• Coordinate and execute design and programming of PLC, HMI, VFD and Servo Motion projects from hardware design, software integration through construction start-up
• Provide feasibility level scope and cost estimates as well as detailed design and project execution
• Support engineering work for client, as assigned
• Create concepts and provide options to solve complex engineering problems
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients regarding project related items
• Work with client and internal team to drive new concepts and proposals to meet clients’ needs
• Write equipment specifications and new descriptions of operations for project work in consumer products industries
• Lead check-out/start-up efforts associated with project work
• Provide construction/start-up support

Job Requirements

 

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
• 5+ years of related experience in the consumer goods industry (preferably food and/or beverage)
• Previous experience with a mix of the following:
  • Programming Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, SLC 500, PLC5)
  • HMI, AC, VFDs, and motion control programming using Rockwell Automation products
  • Ethernet, Controlnet and/or Profibus Network Communications
  • Sensing Technologies, panel design and layout
  • Flow control valves, damper actuators, P&IDs, loop configurations, thermocouples
  • Level, flow and temperature controls
  • Programming with RSview studio and factory link

Preferred Qualifications
 

• PE or ability to obtain
• Experience with this following:
  • Siemens, Wonderware or Modicon
  • AutoCAD or Microstation
  • DCS
  • Controlling hydraulic systems
• Exposure to the following:
  • Cheese, meat, yogurt and cream cheese processes
  • 3A, USDA, EHEDG, AMI, FDA
