Customer Account Specialist

INVISTA is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to join our Engineering Polymers and Polymer businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible in interfacing with active accounts in areas of forecast management, order management, and order fulfillment. The individual will also interact actively across many internal INVISTA capabilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Proactively identify and lead opportunities to improve customer service and increase sales.
  • Provide efficient and effective customer service regarding; order fulfillment, invoicing, shipments, import/export transactions, and internal/external communication.
  • Function as primary contact for accounts with expectation to prevent and/or resolve customer issues; interfacing with all internal capabilities from logistics, to production planning, to sales and marketing to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships across customers, logistic carriers, and production personnel to ensure coordination of all material movements and activities required.
  • Maintain key forecast and order status changes to ensure clear internal communication of all customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with other INVISTA business units and capabilities to drive improvement in customer service processes utilizing SAP best in class order to cash methods.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a fully compliant manner in consideration of regulatory requirements and INVISTAs expectations. This includes various country registrations (such as TSCA and REACH), denied party screening, packaging, labeling and paperwork requirements.
  • Set-up and maintain accurate customer data/profiles in SAP.
  • Interact with the credit and tax team to ensure compliance with all fiscal policies.

  • Ability to work effectively with others and excel in a team setting.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good decision making.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field of study or a minimum of 5 years direct work experience building and sustaining productive customer relationships through business cycles.
  • Experience utilizing analytical capabilities including; understanding and organizing large data files and quickly identifying key profitability drivers.
  • Experience with economic analysis concepts and application for decision making.
  • Experience in MS Office Software (Excel- pivot tables, formulas, data analysis and spreadsheet creation/editing, Word - document creation/editing, and PowerPoint -presentation creation/editing).
  • Ability to travel 10-15% including overnight travel.

Experience and Skills Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP R3 (Version 6.0).
  • Experience with SAP Sales to Cash Module.
  • Experience in international trade (import/export) activity in the chemical industry.
  • Experience with supply chain and inventory management tools and concepts.
  • Demonstrated progressive responsibility in supply chain and order fulfillment.
