MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc is seeking qualified candidates for a Computer Based Trainer (CBT) with demonstrated experience instructing small group classes to military personnel.
Description
- Primary duties to include perform the duties of an operator/developer for Virtual Battle Simulation System (VBS2) the Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) and/or WARSIM, and simulations during all training events.
- Individuals will be required to do individual training as an instructor, perform the duties of a JCATS/JDLM Operator trainer, and a Gaming Trainer.
- Secondary duties may include instructor for Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Blue Force Tracker (BFT), Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Command Post of the Future (COPF), Battle Command Sustainment Support Systems (BCS3), Distributed Common Ground Station-Army (DCGS-A) or Tactical Ground Reporting System (TIGR), Combined Information Data Network Exchange (CIDNE).
- Training packages developed will address new operator, sustainment, and leader training. Upon completion of training development, will execute training sessions and develop the criteria for successful completion by trained personnel.
- May utilize and instruct trainers with technical expertise.
- Continuously revises lesson plans to meet training requirements and keep course abreast of emerging technology.
- Instructor duties will include preparation of training materials, determination of methodology, and coordination in the development and use of training aids.
- Evaluates training materials, procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep the course abreast of software, and emerging doctrine. Maintains class records, writes, administers and scores tests for certification when required.
Job Requirements
Education
- A degree is desirable but may be replaced by experience on a case by case basis.
Skills and Qualifications
- Prior military experience in mounted combat patrolling and convoy operations is preferred.
- Must be prior service in grade E-6 or above.
- Requires the ability to effectively lead, monitor or guide After Action Reviews utilizing Army Doctrine in order to achieve success of task and missions present and future.
- Must be a US citizen with a SECRET clearance or higher security clearance or the ability to obtain one; applicant will be subject to a government security investigation.
- Must be willing to travel outside the Ft. Riley area 2-4 times/year for up to 2 weeks/trip.
- Must be a disciplined worker capable of meeting short suspense’s without intense supervision.
