Were searching for an individual like you to join our Overland Park Specialty Pharmacy Team as a Clinical Management Program Nurse in our Specialty Pharmacy. Positions in this function provide Telephonic patient care to support disease/medication therapy management programs and support positive health outcomes.Key responsibilities of the Clinical Management Program Nurse include:Providing telephonic consultations with patients Determining the level of care or support appropriate to meet patient needs Explaining the use of medications and side effects to patients Supporting adherence to treatment Providing recommendations on how to prevent other health issues Referring patients to additional resources as needed Assisting in the development of patient educational materials Creating Clinical Management Program policies and procedures Other assigned duties may include pharmacy tasks including delivery set-up, prescription entry, customer service issues, etc.Job Requirements
Current Registered Nurse with unrestricted licensure in KS At least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting, acute care, direct care experience OR experience as a telephonic Case Manager / Disease Manager Excellent written and verbal communication skills Flexible scheduling ability between the hours of 7 AM and 10 PM (Monday thru Friday) and occasional weekend shifts Computer proficiency, to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, the ability to type and talk at the same time, and the ability to work within computerized databasesWillingness to work in a production environment with a pay for performance structureIn addition, ideal assets include:A strong clinical background Program or education development experience Experience with collaborative team-building processes A strong patient focus Experience in the following therapeutic categories Oncology, HIV/AIDS, Transplant, Hepatitis C, Multiple Sclerosis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis OCN or related designation idealOptumRx is part of the family of companies that make UnitedHealth Group one of the leaders across most major segments of the US health care system.
