Oracle DBA at Topeka

Job Description

AIC is seeking a Mid Level Oracle DBA for a client in Topeka, KS. This is a 6 month contract to hire. The scope of work will include installation, configuration, testing, debugging, documenting and maintenance of the Oracle and Peoplesoft Architecture at an experienced level. This position will work closely with functional business owners and application developers to continually enhance this system. Due to the nature of this role, applicants must have EAD, Greencard, or be a US citizen and be able to pass a criminal background check.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Successful completion of 24 hours in computer science coursework, or certification and 3+ years experience in system software programming and analysis, or five years experience in system software programming and analysis or database implementation and maintenance. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant.

Technologies:

Oracle 10g or 11i

PeopleSoft HRMS or Financials

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with personal computer and associated productivity tools. Ability to work well with others at all organizational and skill levels

Experience in any of the following will be consideredas a plus:

• SQL Server or other Database Application
• Linux
• Unix
• Oracle SQL
• UC4 Job Schedule
• COBOL
• Windows Server Administration

Team is implementing Oracles newest OBI Application (Data warehouse)

Prefer an Oracle DBA with 5+ years experience

Someone who can tutor Junior DBAs
