POSITION SUMMARY:Stonegate Mortgage Corporation offers a career opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to offer Stonegate Mortgage Corporation products through our TPO sales channels. The primary responsibilities of this position are to research and identify high producing third party origination prospects such as banks, brokers, and credit unions that can deliver quality residential loan products to Stonegate Mortgage Corporation for underwriting and delivery through either a traditional Wholesale channel, or Correspondent channel. Develop relationships with such prospects and to market and sell loan products. The Inside Account Executive works independently and uses his or her judgment and knowledge to identify and develop relationships with prospects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Markets and sells Stonegate Mortgage product lines, including delegated correspondent and warehouse, in a positive manner; and networks to create additional loan opportunities for the company.
- Researches and identifies potential leads through company provided and self-generated methods such as market research, networking, etc.
- Successfully closes sales through telecommunication and virtual presentations.
- Creates and manages a culture of sales activities daily, including daily and weekly sales calls on referral sources that can stimulate and grow the Account Executive’s monthly loan production.
- Establishes a network of brokers and banks that desire to fund loans with Stonegate Mortgage via traditional table funding, as well as prior approved clients that fund their own loans based on our underwriting approval.
- Clearly articulates and implements a marketing and business plan, without significant oversight, that will lead to identifying third party origination prospects and developing successful loan originations.
- Have a thorough understanding of all Stonegate Mortgage policies, procedures, and technology, and be able to train to them effectively.
- Manages Credit and Appraisal Risk within Stonegate Mortgage policy.
- Controls all expenditures to be in line with company standards.
- Provides effective customer service skills at all times.
- Utilizes independent thought daily in job functions to include: decision-making about which clients meet the Stonegate Mortgage qualified customer profile; which loan files represent an acceptable risk to the company, and how to properly communicate all loan decisions with internal and external business partners.
- Performs all other duties as requested or assigned.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
- Must have a proven track record of successful mortgage loan business development and understand how to package and deliver loans to investors while minimizing risk.
- Minimum of two years’ experience originating loans as a Third Party Origination environment.
- Successful business to business mortgage retail experience is a plus.

- Working knowledge of all lending programs available through Stonegate Mortgage Corporation.
- Ability to provide leadership by always adhering to the highest ethics, fair, and equal treatment of all employees, business partners, and third party origination customers.
- Thoroughly understand FNMA/FMLMC, FHA/VA, and USDA lending guidelines and understand all facets of a real estate transaction.
- Ability to use experience and knowledge to make sound, independent judgment to identify prospects and develop a strategy for approaching those prospects.
- Ability to clearly articulate an ability to work with automated systems.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
- Desire to take personal responsibility to complete tasks and solve problems.
- Ability to perform tasks and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively – both in written and verbal form.
- Desire to have a basic understanding of the mortgage process/industry.
