  Position Description:
  The GI Endoscopy Technician functions under the direction of the GI Endoscopy RN when providing patient care. The Tech is actively involved in assisting the physician and/or RN during procedures performed in the GI Endoscopy Department. The Tech should be knowledgeable of equipment and instruments used in the GI Endoscopy setting to include proper use, handling, cleaning, disinfecting, storing, etc. according to manufacturers and regulatory guidelines. Knowledge of various procedures is necessary for the Tech to function in a safe manner. Excellent customer service, a team player approach, and flexibility with assignments are necessary for the GI Tech. This position requires a collaborative approach to providing and maintaining a safe environment for our patients, staff, and physicians. The position does require some call responsibility.

  Job Requirements

  
  Education:
  High school diploma or GED required

  Experience:
  Previous healthcare experience preferred

  Knowledge, Skills:
  Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Customer Relations, Organizational and Verbal Communications skills required
  Medical Terminology knowledge preferred

  License, Registration and/or Certification:
  Healthcare Provider CPR (American Heart Association ONLY) certification required
