Job Responsibilities:
- Initiating the ticketing process for network outages
- Working cross-departmentally to ensure that outages are properly reported and resolved
- You will need to collect and analyze system data to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve emergency network problems, as well as less critical ones
Skills:
- Two to three (2-3) years experience in a similar type of role
- Noc experience troubleshooting special circuits like T-1s, T-3s, DSOs, Ethernets. Troubleshooting and dispatching tickets
- Experience with Tier I Network Support especially in a Telecommunications Network
- Excellent communications skills
- Familiar with large scale telecommunication networks (SONET, DWDM, and DCS) is preferred
- Prior Wireline or Wireless NOC, Engineering / Installation, or Field Operations experience
- May be required to work an overnight shift
- Must be able to learn quickly and manage changing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to work night shift
