Job DescriptionCromwell Solars Installers work within a small team to install commercial and residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. They provide support to and follow the directions of the Crew Leader to safely, professionally and quickly install all components of the PV system (panels, rack, wiring, inverters, etc).As the public face of Cromwell Solar, a firm priding itself on our technical abilities, our Installers are expected to be professional and to possess and convey expertise in solar energy systems.ResponsibilitiesReceiving delivery and checking inventory for each projectLayout and assembly of solar panels and racking hardwareMechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipmentElectrical wiring (AC and DC)Document completion of completed installationClean up of job siteAttend training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safetyAdditional duties required as neededRequirements1 year of roof work, general construction, or carpentry requiredPrevious solar experience strongly preferredMust be able to lift 75lbs Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, ect) Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of timeBasic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programsHigh school diploma or GED requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredExcellent customer service skills requiredMust be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and driving screenMust have a clean driving record (example- no DUI in the last 5 years)Must have a valid state drivers license Thrive in a team environment Desire to pursue solar certification (NABCEP)BenefitsRegular 40 hour work week and paid vacation/sick timePaid training geared towards obtaining certificationFull benefits including health, vision, dental insurance Career path opportunities for top performersBeing a part of an amazing and growing industry that is making a differenceCompensationStarting at $12.50-$15/hr pending skill levelApplicants with previous experience installing solar may be eligible to negotiate for higher wagePlease apply with Resume and Cover LetterFor Further information, please visit powertomorrow.com Cromwell Solar is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.Source - Kansas City Star
