Superior Group is looking for a Component Technician for our Client located in Wichita, KS6 month assignment Performs technical/mechanical functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process. Must be familiar with all shop equipment operations and its maintenance and able to work with little or no supervision. Performs disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customers specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers CMM guidelines and client operating procedures. Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned. Completes necessary related documentation in accordance with established procedures. Maintains proper segregation and identification of components in progress. Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications: HS diploma or GED Minimum of 1 year mechanical experienceMinimum of 1 year experience with MS Office to do light data entry and document information into excelPreferred Skills / Qualifications: Production line experienceMechanical aptitude.Must have the ability to multitask. Requires the ability to read English and understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicaable technical documents. Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on. Must be able to articulate and understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to attain required operating certifications.Ability to work as a team member
