Production Assembler

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Production Assembler 
Department: Production

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Job summary

Perform repetitive work stations or line assembly operations to mass produces transformer and inductors.

 

Principal Accountabilities

• Reliable employee that can work independently

• Reads and perform work as assigned by Production Supervisor.

• Perform wire stripping & tinning both manual and automated

• Perform lead wire assembly and taping operations

• Final cut and trim to customer specifications

• Perform patch, repair and cleaning operations

• Perform precision soldering utilizing a soldering iron

• Perform manual cutting and trimming operations

• Perform fine & heavy wire wrapping operations

• Placement of wire leads for hook-up

• Follow basic work instructions on prints.

• Perform core lamination stacking operations

• Perform caliper measurements using production drawings

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Perform additional duties as needed.

 

Minimum requirements

• Able to read and understand production drawings and work instructions

• Able to work with chemicals

• Good manual dexterity/ability to work with fine wire and small components.

• Working in a repetitive job.

• Working knowledge of quality practices.

• Using Calipers

• J-STD-001D Soldering Certified

• Lean Manufacturing

Job Requirements

Required Experience

• The position is in the production floor and could involve sitting for a long period of time, but not limited to standing walking and lifting throughout the day.

• Understanding what a good soldier joint

• Lifting amount of 10 to 15 pounds minimum

• Soldering experience of 1-2 years.

• GED or High School Diploma

• Inspection experience a plus
