Systems Analyst 
 
**The company would be located in Great Bend.  The candidate would sit onsite for the first month then they would work remote from home**

Job Description:
• Create documentation on existing internally developed apps and systems, working with the internal developer owners.
• Using CPI-provided development tools, develop enhancements and/or correct defects in existing internally developed applications and systems.
• Assist in remediating in existing internally developed applications and systems for use in Windows 7 and Office 2010. 
 

Environment The Great Bend development staff consists of 11 members. Four members primarily focus on VBA development and maintenance of over 2,500 Word and Excel automated templates to support the business. Another four members focus on internally developed applications using VB6, Access 2003/2010, MS SQL, and .Net development tools. Three members balance management roles with development work. See included org chart for more information. Tenure among this group averages over 15 years, with several of the staff coming from an Operations role, bringing extensive business process knowledge. In addition to the development staff, four staff members fill a hybrid analyst/BA/business liaison/app support role, and another six staff members fill support roles in network administration and end user support/help desk. Changing environment – IT Controls are being adopted where there were little in the past. Change management is necessary to ensure a smooth transition, and the contractor resource should be an advocate, but should drive towards changes as part of an overall plan. Source code control is not currently used, but will be adopted in the near future as part of an overall IT Controls effort. Change Management controls exist in the VBA space, but will be enhanced and expanded to the other development areas as well

 

Job Requirements

Skills Needed: Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Basic 6, Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (Office 2003 and 2010), Microsoft Access 2003, utilizing MS SQL Server-hosted databases and views.
