We are currently seeking a full time Health Services Administrator (HSA) for our Larned Correctional Facility, located in Larned, Kansas. The Health Services Administrator is responsible for managing and evaluating the Health Care Delivery Program in accordance with State and Local Regulations.  Ensures medical, dental and mental health program’s activities are based upon goals, objectives, aims, and policies and procedures of CCS and the facility, and are compliant with ACA, NCCHC and State accreditation standards.

Essential Functions:

 

Monitors the implementation and effectiveness of procedures and programs

Evaluates financial and statistical data, program needs and problems and makes recommendations for improvements

Develops, utilizes, revises, interprets, and ensures compliance with CCS and facility policies and procedures

Monitors subcontracted services to include pharmacy, lab, x-ray and specialty providers

Maintains communication and a good working relationship with facility administration, staff, correctional personnel, contracted providers and outside agencies.

Job Requirements

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, or health related field preferred
• Three years administrative, management and supervisory experience
• Sound decision-making skills are mandatory
• Organizational experience in operations and planning required
• Experience in Managing budgets and analyzing contracts preferred
• CPR certification
• Extensive Leadership at the site level
• Health Department experience preferred
• Correctional background is a must
• In delivery and administration of correctional medical, dental, and mental health care preferred.
