Tire Technician at Kansas

Job Description

Summary:Tire Shop Technician is responsiblefor changing, rotating, and maintaining tires on all Deffenbaugh trucks and equipment.Additionally, this person will be expected to use analytical thinking to solve problems regarding all around maintenance of equipment and vehicles.Essential Functions:
  • Maintenance on all truck and heavy truck tires
  • Maintain all shop equipment
  • Spot checks on trucks for flats
  • Maintenance on steer tires
  • PM checks for future problem solving
  • This position is extensive physical labor in all year round weather conditions.

Job Requirements

1-2 years tire shop repair Ability to lift 80 lbs repeatedly Problem solving capabilities Experience performing PM checks Mechanically inclined preferably heavy trucks Must be a self-starter, motivated, and have a willingness to work Possess the ability to work outside in all weather conditions Must have own set of tools Class A or B CDL preferredEducation/Experience:High school or one year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceWork Environment:The work environment is permanently outside: heat and cold.The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.Physical Demands:The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
