We are the Departments contract manager, responsible for ensuring Federal acquisition programs, supplies, and services are delivered on time, within cost and meet performance requirements.

About the Position:

Major Duties:

- Serves as a Industrial Specialist assigned to a multifunctional DCMA Team with cognizance over a number of contracts/programs.

- Monitors contractor delivery performance and production management systems, scheduling, technical analysis of manufacturing processes, and evaluating and establishing risk analysis of contractor performance in delivering products, services, and systems to contract schedule within cost.

- Performs Operations Systems Evaluation and Production Surveillance at contract or sub-contract level involving in-depth technical evaluation of program progress relative to cost and schedule objectives. Performs Technical Support to Negotiations (TSN) for Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) negotiation-support.

- Generates comprehensive program surveillance plans.

- Identifies areas of non-compliance and discusses corrective action with contractor production managers, engineering supervisors, or plant managers. Issues CARs (Corrective Action Reports) when non-compliances are not corrected.

- Reviews contractor corrective action and determines acceptability of results and escalates issues to higher officials when deemed necessary.

- Maintains liaison between and with contractor personnel, Procurement Contracting Officers (PCO), Program Integrators (PI), etc.

- Evaluates material lead times, process sequence intervals, design change probabilities, etc.

- Advises DCMA management on production status, imminent delays, etc. with recommendations for actions.

- Assesses physical progress on contracts eligible for progress payments, verifies contractor claimed progress for each manufacturing elements and prepares a report for use by the ACO.

Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or the equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as experience using practical knowledge of methods, materials, machinery, and facilities used in industrial production operations, which includes industrial assessments of facilities and layout, comprehensive survey and analysis of industrial operations, and interpreting and applying contract clauses and government acquisition regulations.

Other Requirements:

·  Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Requirement, which is 52 weeks of Federal Service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).

·  Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as Time in Grade, minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements by the DATE THE REFERRAL IS ISSUED.

·  Must possess and maintain a valid stateside drivers license.

·  You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

·  Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.

·  Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

·  Direct Deposit of Pay is required.

·  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

·  If selected, official college or university transcript must be submitted.

.  Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
