JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Machinist/Operator position sets up and operates special purpose, and numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate parts for product per print.  High school graduate or GED, manual and CNC experience, tooling experience and knowledge of power driven equipment.  Minimum 1 year experience as a CNC programmer/machinist.  Preferred skills include two years formal education in machine tools.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 

• Uses full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspections. 

• Fabricates tooling/product from blueprints, company-manufacturing manuals, written or verbal instructions.

• Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company safety procedures for equipment under power and OSHA requirements.

• Utilizes typical machine shop machine tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications.

• Experience using following machines Makino, Matsuura, Ruko-Ruko.

• CNC programming using MasterCAM.

Job Requirements

Effective written and verbal communications, Good basic math skills, strong interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of an organization, ability to move up to 40 lbs., must have good eye/hand coordination, and ability to stand for long periods of time.
