Job Description
Determines sequence of operations by studying batch sheets and specifications. Prepares equipment for production by recognizing product and setting equipment to meet product specifications. Regulates production by setting and adjusting controls as required. Produces product by operating equipment. (DCOP, Lloyds Binder, etc. as assigned) Maintains specifications by observing operations; trouble shooting and detecting malfunctions; inspecting product; adjusting controls; replacing blades, etc.; cleans and performs routine maintenance. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs as required. Resolves production problems by altering process to meet additional specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional information or resources. Contributes to team effectiveness and workflow efficiency by rotating duties as needed. Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturers operation and maintenance instructions and established procedures; calling for repairs. Maintains company quality standards and service levels by meeting or exceeding departmental standards. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Supports operations and contributes to team results by performing other production or related jobs as required.
Required:

Basic math, reading and comprehension skills, working knowledge of a computer, ability to stand for long periods, ability to perform with a high level of accuracy, ability to handle multiple priorities, demonstrated teamworking skills, strong communication and conflict resolution skills, strong problem solving skills, strong decision making skills, detail oriented focus, mechanical aptitude for machine change over and upkeep, the ability to read and interpret written instructions and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to rotate positions within the team as needed.

Preferred:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, previous manufacturing and machine operating experience, previous experience with lean and cellular manufacturing.
