CoreSource is looking for a Claims Manager in our Overland Park, Kansas office. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of claims processing. This position is also responsible for staff utilization and development, inventory management, expense control, and administrative functions related to achieving service goals for CorseSource.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists in establishing sound claims practices and policies
- Ensures thorough claims investigations, settlements, and legal reviews as needed.
- Handles all personnel related matters, such as interviewing and hiring; training and development; recognition and discipline; conducting reviews and determining salary adjustments
- Monitors and maintains effective workloads and workflow
- Ensures performance guarantees are met
- Ensures that all departmental functions are completed timely and accurately
- Ensures departmental customer service standards are met
- Maintains open communication with sales staff and clients
- Performs other duties and projects, as assigned
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the incumbent must have
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years health claims experience
- 3+ years managerial experience
- High degree of accuracy and timeliness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excel/Word experience preferred
- Creative problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and stay organized
- Attention to detail
