GRAPHIC DESIGNER at Kansas

Job Description

Create and design original artwork for posters, multimedia, banners, postcards, packaging, labels, and brochures.

Create digital designs from pencil drawings or oral descriptions – while adding original flair.

Create website work, packaging applications, collateral/print pieces and any other multi-media applications.

Develop and maintain graphics library, including configuration management and version control.

Conceptual planning from fragrance & color selection to final powerpoint for customers.

Work with customers to design advertising/brochures/sales sheets.

Out in the market assessment/research – displays, products, fragrances, labels, etc.

Support Marketing Department with creative mind set.

Participate and contribute in brainstorming sessions.

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

4-year College or University Degree in: Graphic Design, Visual Communications or similar

Experience in home décor products.

Mac and PC proficient.

Expert knowledge of Adobe CS4; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.  Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash desired, but not required.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Entourage)

Familiar with FTP upload and management

Familiar with pre-flighting and press checks

Organize packaging and company-owned graphic files electronically into a database, while maintaining excellent quality.

Must be able to perform in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment.

A great portfolio.

Photography skill set (in-house photography and editing), assist with photo shoots.
