Job Description

I am looking for a CheckPoint guru for a 12+ month contract. 

Operations/Administrative role.

Primary duties:  Day to day Check Point firewall Operations.  (make firewall changes, make app control changes, test and configure IPS blade, build and deploy firewalls, review IDS logs, review firewall logs, audit user access, audit firewall rules, other misc firewall tasks as assigned).

Secondary duties:  General security duties.  Apply patches to various types of assets.  Analyze malware.  Upgrade tools such as Firemon or Envision.  Review security related policies and procedures.

Skills (Required vs. Desired) : 

Required:

Solid/Current Check Point Firewall skills.  Tier2 or Tier3 kind of guy.

Desired:

Firemon experience

RSA envision experience

Certs and/or Experience requirements : 

Required:

CCSA or CCSE (R65 or higher)

5+ years of recent hands-on Check Point experience

Experience with R75

Desired:

CISSP

Blade experience

Client environment:

Check Point versions – R76 management.  Mix of R71, R75.45

Hardware – open platform

Blades/technologies in use – FW, IPS, IA, DLP, APP, SSL Decryption

NO Provider-1 or VSX

1 primary perimeter cluster spread across 2 mirrored data centers.  5-6 other clusters throughout internal network.
