ThyssenKrupp Elevator is currently seeking a Business Development Representative for our growing Kansas City, MOmetro market.In this new position, a career sales professional will be responsible for successfully bidding on and securing new service and maintenance contracts; developing and maintaining strong relations with existing customers and promoting organic growth.

Some specific job duties include: Building strong customer relationships, and maintaining market movement and competitors positions and strategies. Reviewing proposed client contracts with the branch including all specs and labor with operations department for completeness and accuracy, and ensuring that jobs will be profitable for the branch; work closely with the branch management to develop a pricing strategy. Presenting bids to customers; will need to be able to explain cost factors, while emphasizing the features and benefits of a local relationship with TKE. Conducting customer follow-up on all RFP proposals. Upon customers acceptance, coordinating contract roll-out packages through the branch approval process and assigned local account manager. Visiting building sites when necessary and works with local TKE branch to ensure customers needs are being met along with all contractual obligations. Maintaining strong familiarity of company products by attending company training classes, and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods. Prospecting and develops new local market accounts. Conducting presentations to local, small and large, property management companies, professional business organizations, specific market segments (hospitals, hotels, residential, etc).Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Skill: A Bachelors degree is required. At least 2-3 years of outside sales experience is necessary. Experience working in a relationship selling environment with long-term sales cycles is preferred. Previous experience in elevator industry is a plus. Must be self-motivated and have demonstrated ability to stay organized & focused through a multi-step sales process. Must have a Hunters mentality and an aggressive sales approach with a strong follow up desire.Excellent communication, organization, time management skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential. Prior experience working with CRM systems a plus. Strong negotiation, presentation skills, and reasoning skills are necessary.
