Senior Financial Analyst at Overland Park

Job Description

Multi Service is seeking a highly motivatedSr. Financial Analystto join their team in the Accounting/Financial Controls Department. This department is responsible for supporting the maintenance and preparation of financial statements, the set up and review of internal control processes and procedures, interfaces with Internal and External Auditors, management reporting (including forecasts) and other special projects related to Treasury, Finance, and Accounting.

The ideal candidate will have minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and extensive recent auditing and/or internal control review experience. CPA or CIA certification and/or MBA desirable. Payment industry experience and Sarbanes-Oxley experience also very helpful. Essential qualities are:

Ability to communicate (written and verbally) with individuals at various levels within the company.

Strong analytical, listening and process documentation skills.

Capability to think independently and problem-solve.

Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in a team environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Expert data analysis skills, including but not limited to Excel tools such as pivot tables, and lookup and data referencing functionality.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate audit functions, including review of work papers provided to auditors (financial statement, SSAE 16, SOX and other audit reviews).

Initially assist in general ledger account reconciliation and account analysis

Establish, analyze and review internal controls as well as other processes and procedures, both within the department and across multiple departments.

Review and analyze monthly financial statements and provide explanations for variances.

Assist with the preparation and review management reporting on a monthly basis.

Along with the Accounting Operations team, assist in the preparation of forecasts for the management team, as well as tax reporting information required throughout the year.

Assist management with department goal-setting and commit to the achievement of these goals and objectives.
