Account Manager at Olathe

Job Description

SUMMARY:  Core-Mark is one of the largest broad-line, full service marketers and distributors of packaged consumer products in North America, Core-Mark has been providing distribution and logistics services as well as marketing programs to the convenience retail industry since 1888. We’ve partnered with over 29,000 retail locations across the United States and Canada to make their unique goals more attainable.

 

We are looking for an Account Manager who will be responsible for all business activities as it relates to their respective territory, accounts, and personnel. This position is located in or near Hutchinson, Kansas.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Service National Account by acting as liaison between Customer Corporate Office and Core-Mark distribution centers.
  • Maintain and update Customer profiles affecting product selection, retails and pricing.
  • Coordinate Vendor and Item set-up process with Customer and Core-Mark Distribution Centers
  • Coordinate and monitor Customer promotional shipments with Core-Mark distribution centers.
  • Communicate new and replacement products and monitor inventory.
  • Run Customer sales reports for Customer or vendor.
  • Supports director in handling daily Customer issues, sales reporting and fulfilling Customer requests.
  • Assists Director with business reviews, presentations, and special projects.
  • Occasional travel required (divisions/Customers/stores)

Job Requirements

  • BS or BA in Business Administration or related field experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience and account management.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding goals and objectives
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Self driven, motivated and results oriented
  • Creative, proactive, and ability to work self-sufficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to successfully interact with internal and external customers.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of convenience Industry.
  • Strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office, MS Outlook, AS400.
  • Reliable vehicle, current auto insurance and valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel (car, plane) throughout territory and to company events as needed to perform job duties.
