POSITION: Inside Sales Representative 

REPORTS TO: VP Sales & Marketing


JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary function of the Business Development/Inside Sales Representative is to sell BillSoft products and services to prospects by actively calling on new businesses and responding to leads for new business. The Business Development/Inside Sales Representative creates and maintains strong relationships with internal associates to keep up to date on new and existing BillSoft products and services.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Meet BillSoft’s quota for new business, currently $15,000 per month (ramped)

•  Meet or exceed BillSoft’s expected activity metrics (see below)

•  Understand BillSoft products and services and lead on and off-site product demonstrations

•  Work under pressure to meet various internal and external deadlines and sales goals

•  Maintain impeccable records of all transactions with customers in company’s prospect and sales
 database

•  Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image in all dealings with prospects and clients

•  Meet and maintain open communications with key clients, BillSoft IT, tax and legal departments
 and negotiating and closing sales

•  Evaluate and assesses opportunities to promote and cross-sell products and services to clients

•  Assist the marketing department in building brand recognition in current and new markets

•  Active presence, networking, and direct sales activity at all trade shows

•  Perform additional duties as requested


SALES ACTIVITY METRICS: Business Development/Inside Sales Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding the following quantities of sales activities on a weekly basis:

•  100 phone calls to new Prospects each week

•  25 Contacts with decision makers resulting from phone calls

•  8 Discovery/Presentation/Proposals Conversations per month

•  2 Proposals

•  1 New Customer Sale

Job Requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

· Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in abusiness related field, distinction in accounting, finance
 or marketing preferred or a combination of education and experience

 

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and/orclient relationship management role

 

· Previous experience in software sales and/or thetelecom industry is preferred

 

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

· Knowledge of Microsoft products including Word,Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

 

· Knowledge or prior use of SalesForce.com highlypreferred

 

· Self-motivated, investigates and demonstrates creativeselling and marketing initiatives
