Requirements

8+ years of experience supporting MS SQL Server, with particular emphasis on Version 2008/12. This includes responsibility for new server setup, ongoing maintenance, regular backup and recovery activity, security setup and monitoring, performance tuning and other database administration tasks.

Heavy experience with T-SQL, data modeling and database design is required

Strong experience designing, developing and implementing ETL solutions using SSIS

Experience in working in an Agile Scrum team and working in a fast changing environment

Ability to work with closely with the application development team to provide schema, views and stored procedures to support development efforts.

Experience with VMWare ESX Server, Virtual Infrastructure is a definite plus, but is not required for otherwise well-qualified candidates

Experience automating the monitoring and administration of multiple SQL Server instances

Strong general understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP LAN/VLAN configuration, firewall routing, network protocols and ports is required

Must be able to set priorities and pursue completion of multiple tasks with limited direction

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required in order to effectively work within a team environment supporting both internal and external clients
