Home Loan Specialist - Olathe, KS at Olathe

Job Description

The Home Loan Specialist will be responsible for generating customers, referrals, originating loans, and cross-selling financial services products. In this role, you will learn the road to financial security and home ownership for your personal benefit so you can speak from experience when talking with clients. Enterprise Bank & Trust will train you to become successful, putting you on a career track to become a Branch, Sales, or Team Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Make service calls to current and prospective customers for purpose of generating loan originations and cross-selling of financial services and products
  • Develop referral partner relationships within real estate community
  • Complete Federal & State Mortgage Loan Officer license testing requirements. This includes taking the 20 hour National Pre-licensing course and passing the National and State mortgage licensing tests within first month of hire.
  • Generate customer prospects through outbound calling (30-50 calls per day).
  • Prospect for new loans through phone calls, email, traditional & social networking.
  • Use web-based CRM systems for assistance in calling current company customers.
  • Learn the mortgage industry by assisting Loan Officers and Support Staff with their duties, including:
  • Load complete 1003 residential loan applications into Loan Origination System (Encompass)
  • Pull credit, determine eligibility, set product, lock rate, turn quality file into processing with assistance with Senior Loan Officer to discuss Programs, Products and Fees
  • Work with Senior Loan Officer to disclose documents within 3 days of application
  • Assist with getting documents back from client
  • Hand over file to team or Senior Loan Officer
    • Become an expert on real estate agent partnership building by:
  • Make green dot phone calls with MLO
  • Agent prospecting, ten-minute intro sales pitches (minimum 2 per week)
  • Attend weekly partnership meetings with MLO (ultimately 4-7 per week)
  • Attend all monthly partnership Focus & networking meetings (2 per month minimum)
  • Attend additional referral networking meetings (2 per month minimum)
  • Participate in monthly HBM coaching meetings (1 per month)
  • Participate in monthly HBM agent activation meetings (1 per month)
  • Attend Operations meetings (1 per month)
  • Attend Monday morning sales meetings
  • COMPENTENCIES

    • At the completion of our 6 month training program you must be able to do the following:
    • Generate 15 loan application per month (ultimately 5-7 closings a month) through self-generation and referral relationships.
    • Load application into Loan Origination System, determine eligibility, set product, lock rate, turn quality file into processing
    • Maintain 4-7 referral relationships with 75% of partnership benchmarks being achieved, resulting in 1 closing per month per referral partner
    • Responsible for generating attendance for at least 2 referral partners at two monthly referral partnership networking events.
    • Maintain at least an 85% Customer Satisfaction rating with borrowers with minimum response benchmark,
    • Maintain customer confidence by keeping loan information confidential.
    • Must comply with the requirements of BSA as it applies to the specific job duties.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High school or GED completion required
    • Bachelors degree preferred. Degree in financial, sales, marketing, or business fields preferred.
    • 1 3 years sales experience preferred
    • General understanding of the mortgage business, sales, and office environment is preferred, but not required.
