Sr. Financial Analyst, International Accounting at Kansas

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will serve as the primary accountant serving our London, Hong Kong and Tokyo (Asia) organizations. Duties include accounting for transactions in accordance with applicable international statutory requirements and US GAAP and assisting in assuring internal controls are designed and operating effectively. In addition, the individual will support deliverables for our annual and statutory audits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform and review self-assessments of internal controls

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete special projects and other similar accounting duties as assigned by Manager, Accounting

Preparation and review of account reconciliations and analysis

Preparation and review of monthly closing binders

Preparation of deliverables for annual external and statutory audits

Ad hoc analysis

Identify and implement process improvements

Provide accounting direction and services for international finance leaders



QUALIFICATIONS:

1. KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of internal and process-related controls

Knowledge of foreign currency and translation

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).

Ability to thrive in a fast paced business environment

Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities

Ability to travel internationally as required

Experience with revenue recognition modeling and related accounting a plus

2. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

BS in Accounting; Masters degree preferred

CPA firm experience, including SEC reporting clients preferred

CPA certificate preferred

Experience in an accounting environment supporting international operations and related financial reporting requirements

Advanced skills in MS Excel and other MS Office products required

Ability to accommodate time zones differences in support of international accounting requirements

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Typical work week is 40+ hours with overtime as required to meet business requirements and deadlines.
