Pentairs Flow Technologies GBU is a global leader in mid-to-large fluid management products and applications. The business delivers a range of products from the worlds largest flood control pumps to sophisticated fire and HVAC pumps and products in the municipal, industrial, and commercial markets. Pentair Flow Technologies brands include Myers, Aurora, Hydromatic, Fairbanks Nijhuis, and Delta Environmental.
The incumbent will act as a representative of Pentair operations in the Kansas City Plant. The purpose of this position is to manage customer claims and/or concerns regarding post shipment product. To provide timely resolution of those claims and concerns within company policy guidelines.
Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer communications relative to claims and/or concerns.
- Provide diagnosis and evaluation of reported field problems.
- Coordinate required input from other departments or vendors to insure timely resolution.
- Take action, within guidelines of company policies and procedures to resolve the claims and document appropriate action to be taken.
- When required issue work orders to manufacturing for replacement parts, issue purchase orders to vendors for goods or services, issue return goods authorization for return materials, issue of credit requests to customers for work performed or goods returned, dispatch Field Service Engineer to the jobsite for repairs,
- Provide product problem analysis for Manufacturing or Engineering Department action.
- Document all product deficiencies which could re-occur and offer suggestions for methods of correction or prevention to reduce customer complaints and warranty expenses.
- Maintain accurate Field Service files and records noting any field changes to product.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree required Mechanical Engineering degree or similar science.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively both inside and outside of the organization.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Through ongoing training the incumbent will be required to have a thorough and in depth knowledge of Pentair products, services, Pentair order processing procedures and practices.
- Requires knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as machining, welding and pump assembly and testing.
- Requires an understanding of job specifications paired with terms and conditions of the contract.
- Ability to read blue prints and drawings.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous experience with customer service and/or experience within manufacturing plant is required. Experience with pumps is a plus.
- Prior experience in order entry, specifications department, drafting, shipping or manufacturing is preferred.
