Job Description

Overview:

These positions offer a generous base salary plus uncapped commissions. Applicants must be located in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

FishNet Security provides our commercial clients the most comprehensive security solutions, including consulting services, software/hardware technology, support, and technology training. As an Inside Account Executive, you would be responsible for selling Information Security products and services to a defined territory. To become successful in this position, you must be driven to successfully prospect, generate leads and qualify sales. Knowledge of Information Security and networking products/services are essential to your success.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the sales of Information Security products and consulting services to FishNet Securitys SMB market segment.

Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas of Information Security allowing effective presentation of products/services to FishNet Securitys prospects and clients.

Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to maintain and generate new business.

Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with business owners and key decision makers.

Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations, presentations and RFP (Request for Proposal) responses for current and prospective customers.

Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.

Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, email, and networking.

Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.

Demonstrates the ability to gather and submit detailed business information for vendor deal registrations and pricing/quote request.

Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.

Maintains accurate on-going business forecast and provides bi-monthly updates through Salesforce.com.

Develops annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Sales Associate on meeting or exceeding sales quota.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Participates and contributes in educational programs, computer based training, and vendor seminars offered to company employees.

Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful technology/information systems Business-to-Business sales experience required
  • Strong understanding of networking along with basic understanding of the Information Security industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present in 1-on-1 and small group settings
  • Intermediate level computer skills with MS Office, Explorer, Outlook and CRM applications (SF.com).
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to calculate amounts such as discounts, margins and percentages
  • Strong, established industry network in metro area preferred
  • History of successful lead generation and new account development required
  • Experience selling routers, switches, optical equipment, firewalls, intrusion detection, professional services, audits and assessments preferred
