Genesis10 is actively seeking aProject Manager for a contract assignment for our client in the retail industry. This opportunity is located in Topeka, KS.

Description:

The Project Manager will be workingon a Loyalty Project and is responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and delivery of large/cross-functional projects. Balances priorities of multiple projects ensuring that complex projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed. Responsibilities:

• Governance and Communication:
  • Communicates with leadership and holds regular status and review meetings with project team, sponsors, and clients to ensure expectations are met.
• Scheduling and Project Planning:
  • Creates and executes project plans and schedules for project team members that meet project deadlines.
  • Makes revisions and resets expectations, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Scope and Change Control:
  • Defines and establishes project scope and systematically manages scope changes.
• Risk and Issues Management:
  • Documents, investigates, resolves and/or escalates issues and risks in a timely fashion.
• Budget Management:
  • Analyzes and forecasts budget, actual costs/invoices, bill rates and utilization under the direction of their manager.
• Resource and team management:
  • Defines resource and skill needs and then reviews deliverables prepared by team members, as appropriate, before stakeholder review/publication.
• Coaching and Mentoring:
  • Provides feedback on performance reviews and assists with coaching and mentoring of team members.
• Playing a key role in driving a project/task to completion.
• Maintaining effective relationships (example left former employers on good terms).
• Shown increased responsibilities/growth in a job or an extra curricular activity, or something similar.
• Providing direction as a project lead.
• Effectively dealing with ambiguity or vagueness.
• Playing a key role in a cross-functional project, collaborating across the IT department.
• Working on part of a team in a matrix environment.
• Exposure to business operations (can be through tours, projects, mentoring, etc.).
• Exposure to project management techniques & tools.
• Tracking own work within project management standards.
• Providing feedback to change/improve existing processes.
• Success in managing small projects (scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality).
• Identifying skills needed, sourcing skills for project teams.
• Success in managing multiple large projects (scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality).
• Communication with all executive levels.
• Coaching, teaching and mentoring on project management practices.
• Project quality audits.
• Building/developing a project team.
• Initiating new processes / changing existing processes.
• Managing in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in key project management tools.
• Managing vendor relationships and delivery.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience.
• Experience withCustomer Data (CRM).
• Experience with Business Intelligence projects.
• Offer Management experience.
• Basic Marketing concepts experience.
• Knowledgeable with the SDLC.
• Experience performing financial reporting on projects.
• Ability to create project documentation.
• Should have proven experience and understanding instakeholder management, risk management,and vendor management.
• Experience in performing/creating project status reporting to all levels.

PreferredQualifications:

• PMI Certification preferred.
• Prior retail industry experience preferred.
• Campaign management experience preferred.
