Job Classification: Contract Aerotek Scientific is currently searching for a Laboratory Technician for a Food Manufacturing Facility in Wichita, KSPurpose of Position:-Executing all quality procedures, inspections, and all required laboratory product testings to ensure all products meet, or exceed written specifications.-Assists management in monitoring and training personnel in good manufacturing processes to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies.-Responsible for accurate reporting data in company systems, and on customer-facing documents including, but not limited to, certificates of analysis.-Responsible for validation, interpreting, and utilizing data along with knowledge and decisions to determine proper actions.Job Responsibilities:-Sample collection/inspection.preparation, analytical testing, interpretation, reporting of analytical results in the appropriate quality systems.-Utilizing analytical results to make decisions that affect production across work groups.-Conducting quality checks at required frequencies.-Monitors,assists, and trains in documentation of Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and adhere to company policies.-Performs calibrations, or verifications, to ensure accuracy of analytical equipment, and assists with basic troubleshooting.-Actively investigates and documents quality/customer issues.-Actively participates in projects and can lead projects with direction.Minimum Requirements:-A.S. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology with 1-3 years of experience in Quality, Operations, R&D, Industrial Management.OR-B.S. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology with extensive undergraduate laboratory experience.Qualified candidates may apply directly to this posting or email me their resume at czimmer(at)aerotek.com Join Aerotek Scientific®LLC, one of the fastest growing providers of scientific and clinical research services in the nation.
