CoreSource is looking for a Customer Service Representative in our Overland Park, KS office. In this role, you will be responsible for working with employers and participants to accurately respond to telephone and email inquiries regarding their benefits and claims. Emphasis is on customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to phone inquiries from employees, employers, and providers on assigned groups. Utilizes computer terminal to obtain essential information.
- Researches problem inquiries and responds to caller. Requests documentation from Records Department as needed.
- Refers unresolved inquiries and corrections to the appropriate analyst for resolution.
- Other duties as assigned by department manager.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous customer service experience required. Telephonic customer service experience preferred.
- Medical or health insurance background preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service driven environment.
- Typing speed of 35 wpm or higher.
- Ability to provide excellent communication in verbal and written form. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, employers, and providers. Ability to use commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems in varying situations and reach reasonable solutions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
