Quality Inspector at Wichita

Job Description

Job Description:

Inspects company-produced aircraft products and associated
documentation,
Performs laboratory procedures as required,
Records data, prepares formal reports,
Completes FAA and customer-required certification documents.

Knowledge required:
General knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M-1994,
Knowledgeable in team concepts,
Familiar with basic quality terms and concepts such as SPC and Six Sigma
Experience with inspection planning, tools and processes,
o Identify critical, major, minor characteristics from customer tools,
blueprints and other customer supplied data.
o Knowledgeable in mathematical operations and how to perform
measurement conversions; be able to solve for x, add and subtract
degrees, minutes and seconds,
o Familiar with GD&T, and recognition of basic NTD terminology,
o Capable to determine sample size for lots,
Responsible for the care and clean of tools and gauges and verifying
calibration status.
Capable to identify the difference between accuracy and precision,
types of measurement and measurement terminology,
Comprehend traceability requirements and complete traceability forms,
Identify and recognize process errors and initiate resolution using the
appropriate quality forms;
Able to perform product audits.

Basic Qualifications:

Previous job experience in mechanical or electrical inspection or a related
field preferred;
High school diploma or GED.

Recommended Certification:
ASQ Mechanical Inspector Certification
