Process Technician at Kansas

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all process equipment
• Monitor and regulate all process and utility systems and equipment ensuring operation within proper parameters
• Collection and analysis of process samples
• Perform lab analysis to ensure product meets specifications
• Perform minor mechanical activities on equipment and systems
• Conduct physical inspections of equipment (tanks, pipes, drums, vents, etc.)
• Operate continuous saponification, dryer, amalgamation, dosing and refining equipment
• Troubleshoot problems
• Properly complete documents for OTC and GMP
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Willing to work overtime as needed.

 
 High school or GED required.
 Criminal background check.
 Drug screen

• Ability to learn sampling techniques and proper labeling procedures
• Ability to interpret and verify quality
• Ability to learn and use computer and monitoring equipment
• High level of initiative and ability to plan activities in advance
• Ability to work independently, relying on self-motivation and direction
• Ability to process information and apply appropriate methods of operation in a processing environment
• Ability to use a logical thought process
• Ability and desire to function in a team environment
• Ability to interact with others in a polite and cordial manner

 

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma with significant mathematical emphasis

Mechanical aptitude

Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Previous processing experience preferred
