ROLE OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

 

The Business Development Consultant is an essential role in the team environment of the office.  The Business Development Consultant will work with in tandem with the inside and outside side sales team to provide sales efforts, customer support and service.  The Business Development Consultant has a vital role in assuring growing the business by acquiring and developing new accounts while providing world class customer service to existing accounts.  

We are looking for a person who is outgoing, loves working with people, and is not afraid to make cold calls or quality assurance calls to prospective and existing clients, as well as occasional face-to-face sales/quality calls.  Daily responsibilities will include making telephone sales calls for a portion of each day to develop new business in addition to take care of current business orders. Time management is essential in this fast-paced environment.  Also, must have the ability to prioritize work and work closest to the dollar.

The company hiring is a growing business in the Olathe, Kansas area.  Salary will depend on experience of the individual.  Also included in the benefit package is healthcare insurance including dental, Safe Harbor 401(k), vacation and holiday pay, sales bonus and commissions, and incentive trip for meeting sales goals.  Rapid salary advancement based on sales growth.

REQUIREMENTS

 
  • Conduct daily sales and service calls on existing and potential clients to identify and solve problems as well as stimulate greater business opportunity.
  • Receives and processes inquiry calls from clients and prospects.
  • Able to quote and calculate bill rates.
  • Able to troubleshoot and offer consultative approach to sales.
  • Spend a portion of each day making telephone sales call to develop new business opportunities and to fill existing orders.
  • Share information with outside sales team as well as inside team to develop relationships with clients and prospect to yield more business.
  • Travel to two to three leadership/sales training events as hosted by the company.
