Job Classification: Contract Aerotek Scientific is currently searching for a QA Coding Auditor for our Pharmaceutical Client in Overland Park, KS. Qualified candidates will be contacted and interviewed immediately.Some office presence would be required.Description:-Perform a detailed review of the medical record to ensure the ICD-9-CM code(s) was coded correctly during the coding process.-Document audit findings in database and/or Excel-Execute the tactical day-to-day activities of the quality assurance process.-Perform, summarize and report on the Quality Assurance audits.-Mastery of coding guidelines, applications and practices. Subject Matter Expert.-Review QA findings with individual coders. Provide coaching and mentorship.-Analyze QA results and create reports.-Collaborate with training department to develop training materials based upon QA results-Communicates with management regarding audit findings.Requirements:-High School Diploma or GED is required.-3+ years ICD-9 coding experience is required preferably in an inpatient or physicians office setting.-5+ years ICD-9 coding experience is preferred-Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is required-Coding certification is required (CPC or CCS or RHIT or RHIA) is required-RHIA and RHIT are preferred.-Able to handle multiple projects and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines-Works independently without direct supervision.-Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 coding guidelines.-Ability to identify various medical records layout and content (EMR and handwritten).-Ability to problem solve using critical thinking skills.-Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, and pharmacology.If interested you may apply directly to this posting or email me your resume at czimmer(at)aerotek.com Join Aerotek Scientific®LLC, one of the fastest growing providers of scientific and clinical research services in the nation.
