Description The Business Analyst is responsible for working with the business within IT and will effectively communicate the needs and current processes to come up with solutions. The Business Analyst must be able to communicate easily with business owners and users and IT professionals. Candidates must have a good understanding of project management concepts and techniques and should have the skills to execute the activities necessary to reach the project objectives. This role will serve as organizer, facilitator, analyst, and occasionally as a problem solver. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work and contribute in a team environment are essential, as are outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Work closely and interact directly with business owners and IT staff to identify, rationalize and document business requirements; and translate them into functional specifications which detail the approach to address and resolve the business needs. Conduct analysis that identifies current state business process or system inadequacies. Present Ideas for process and systems improvement recommendations that assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and experiences. Work with PMs to effectively communicate project status to management and keep business stakeholders informed of project status and all related issues. Communicate with management on impacts to changes in project scope while communicating impact to management and team. Work with team to proactively identify work, communicate and resolve project issues and risks that interfere with project execution or success. Ensure appropriate project documentation is produced. Collaborate closely with and assist application development teams when required to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables. Manage individual work load and assist with defining and prioritizing tasks. Assist project teams in documenting specifications for application functionality, and documenting and executing test plans and test scripts. Assist other Business Analysts / Quality Analysts as needed or required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications 3+ years in preferred experience in relevant functional areas. Exposure to multiple database technologies and reporting tools is plus. Experience with Agile methodology preferred. 2+ years in adopting various BA methodologies.
