Job Description
General Responsibilities:
As an IT Administrative Staff with Terracon you will, under direct supervision, approve software installations, reconcile telecommunication invoices, assist with IT asset management, and perform other administrative support functions.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Review requests for software installations and approve or deny them based on IT guidelines.
- Process the monthly telecommunications invoices.
- Maintain a current list of workstations.
- Keep the list of workstations that have not been audited recently to a reasonably low amount.
- Reconcile mobile devices to invoices and/or other payment information.
- Ship and receive packages regularly, and distribute packages to others in the department.
- Assist with maintaining the inventory of equipment in the IT storage room.
- Perform a variety of administrative support activities as requested by the supervisor.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Complete safety orientation program
- Abide by safety and personal protective equipment policies
- Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behaviors
- Drive defensively, avoid preventable accidents and always wear a seat belt
- Use a dolly, cart, or other appropriate equipment to move heavy and/or bulky packages
- Attend regularly scheduled safety training
- Report all unsafe conditions to your Supervisor
Other Duties:
Will perform other office administrative duties as assigned.
Essential Skills/Abilities:
Effective communicator on the telephone, in writing, and in person.
Detail-oriented.
Works quickly and under tight deadlines at times.
Self-prioritizes work and asks for guidance regarding conflicting priorities.
Projects a professional company image.
Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling rules as required.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs.
