Job Description

Overview:

The Instructor delivers in-person and on-line classroom training to an audience of 1 to 12 or more students. This position requires mastery of several products, including obtaining required certifications and updating as needed.

Responsibilities:

Deliverexcellent technical training to diverse student audiences.

Regularly learnnew products, obtain new certifications as directed.

Adaptvendor-provided lab exercises to FishNet environment.

Deploy newdesktop, server, and network hardware and software.

Develop andupdate custom training content.

Develop superiorknowledge of all assigned Fishnet Security Training offerings.

Meet thequalifications for vendor certified courses or Authorized Training Centeragreements that are assigned, i.e. Check Point, Juniper, Certified Wireless Networking Professional, etc.

Maintain thetraining centers hardware and software.

Evaluate currentclasses, create documentation for labs both for the students and otherinstructors, and share those with the rest of the training staff.

Create newclasses dealing with security, as assigned.

Perform otherduties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)required.
• BachelorsDegree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science orrelated field or 4 years of information technology work experience; orequivalent combination of education and experiencerequired.
• Two or moreyears of training adults in a technical setting required.
• The ability toobtain new certifications required.
• Some knowledgeof the OSI Model, routing / switching, and TCP/IP and how it functions required.
• The ability tograsp new concepts quickly to be able to turn around and train thoseconcepts required.
• The ability tomaintain knowledge of several different classes at the same time required.
• Must be self-startingand able to perform duties at remote sites with minimal daily supervision.
• Must be able toquickly adapt to unexpected adverse situations while continuing with theclassroom training that may be at a remote location.
• The ability towork both in team settings and effectively manage time and resources onown.
• Experiencerequired with at least one of the following products: Check Point VPN-1,Juniper Firewall, F-5 LTM/UTM, Blue Coat web proxy.
• Ability todevelop extensive, in-depth mastery of multiple technical products required.
• Ability to passthrough security checkpoints and International Customs required.
• Great time management and organizational skills required.
• Internet,Microsoft operating system, Microsoft Outlook (e-mail) and experience withMS Office Products including Word and Excel required.
• Strongbackground with Microsoft Windows, *NIX, common internet protocols, andsome knowledge of computer hardware preferred.
