Primary Purpose
Functions in a mid level engineering technician capacity. Under general supervision, performs functions requiring intermediate knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables. May begin to provide technical guidance to other engineering technicians.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develop or modify deliverables based on rough sketches, marked-up copies and/or detailed verbal instructions. Develops necessary views, sections and details with supervision. Learn and understand project and Company standards and procedures. Performs minor computations such as material quantity estimate, dimensional checks, etc, as assigned. May learn new programs or processes required for assignments. Continuously evaluates methods used to accomplish the activities they have been assigned. If this evaluation indicates that a process can be simplified, without sacrificing the integrity of the outcome, it should be discussed with the supervisor for possible implementation. Ensures that the deliverables and tasks that they work on are complete and meet Black & Veatch???s QA requirements. Ensures that the deliverables are compliant with sketches, marked copies and written or verbal instructions.
Minimum Qualifications
???2 to 5 years of ArcSDE and ArcGIS for Server implementation and administration experience ???1 to 2 years of experience with configuring map services using ArcGIS for Server or ArcGIS Online ???Experience working with utility GIS (Telecomm preferable). ???FME and/or other data conversion tools. ???An understanding of design and deployment for mobile/web based applications. ArcGIS for Mobile, iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, etc. ???Experience with programming languages a plus: JavaScript, HTML, XML, C#, Flash, .NET, Silverlight, etc. Diploma or Certificate required. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. GCSC (Draft generic educational)
