Test Automation Developer-Visual Studio/C# test script

Immediate opening for test automation engineer to work onsite in Kansas City, KS; this is a 6+month contract with possibility perm placment.  

Test Automation Developer - C# development and MS Visual Studio/Coded UI

PERFECT EXPERIENCE - Automation testing experience with Visual Studio / Coded UI / CUITe / TFS and C# development is preferred...BUT
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE - can qualify candidates with; solid C# programming/development experience, extensive experience implementing test automation frameworks, working experience with test case creation and execution, and experience writing complex SQL queries.

Responsibilities Include:

  Design and Architect automated testing solutions and processes to quickly provide enhanced testing coverage on diverse product suites
  Create and maintain automated test cases to support manual testing efforts
  Run automated test suites; educate and train Quality Assurance Analysts on automation execution
  Work closely with Software Quality Assurance Analysts and the application development team in eliciting project requirements to create automated test cases
  Participate in the development and reporting of test metrics; items such as test confidence and test coverage reports
  Review requirements specifications and identify gaps and inconsistencies
  Work closely with development, business analysts, and other QA team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects; verify problem fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner
  Participate in Agile based iteration and SCRUM meetings; provide quality estimates for Quality Assurance automation efforts.

Job Requirements :

  Solid automated testing experience; must have extensive experience with test automation frameworks and implementation processes
  Automation experience with SILK, TestComplete, and Coded UI from Visual Studio | TFS
  Development experience with C# language (Coded UI)
  3+ years’ experience in database testing with the ability to read, write, and execute basic SQL
  3+ years’ experience working test case creation and execution
  Ability to participate within a software development framework, understand architectural concepts, and engineering terminology
  Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server technologies
  Innate project leadership; desires accountability and responsibilities to promote the success of our company
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent analytical and organizational skills; Strong deductive reasoning
  Ability to multi-task and work separate projects in a fast paced & dynamic company environment and extremely tight timelines
  Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction or as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

  Prior software development, business analyst or project management experience
  Gregarious personalities with professional intent; looking to build a career rather than maintaining one
  Strong QA process skills with test planning, test execution, defect isolation, defect management, requirements / design review and test reporting
  In depth understanding of application system topologies (UI/Object Tier/Database Tier)
  Automation testing for both SOA and UI integration
  Solid knowledge of Microsoft’s Visual Studio and Team Systems current product line and future market test platforms
