I. POSITION PURPOSE
Completes in-depth financial analysis of all Agency departments. Prepares financial management reports and submits for review/action. Assists in the management of Agency cash flow. Performs the following duties directly or through subordinates.
II. NATURE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Prepares such reports or analysis on a regular or intermittent basis as assigned by the CFO.
Assists in the preparation of Agency budgets and consolidates program budgets into an Agency-wide budget.
Responsible for Agency financial analysis. Makes recommendations for improvements based upon trends.
Prepares detailed and diverse financial management reports for review/action by higher authority.
Responsible for Agency general ledger maintenance.
Assists in the management of Agency cash flow and makes reports on a regular and timely basis.
Monitors the daily business report summarizing the balance of cash, accounts receivable, and client population.
Reviews authorized purchase orders for Agency expenditures in conjunction with authorizing check payments.
Maintains the agency depreciation schedules, fixed asset listings and schedules of software licenses in effect including renewal dates. Participates in the annual and periodic inventory and testing of those schedules.
Responds to inquiries from other departments regarding financial matters and prepares appropriate responses consistent with department and agency policy.
Responds to department staff inquiries regarding technical matters in a timely manner.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Prepares agency tax returns and reports and prepares responses to inquiries regarding the same.
Assists the CFO in ensuring that organizational financial activities are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
Provides regular supervision and professional development of Agency employees.
Will be required to travel in order to attend meetings, training, or conduct business off site. Must have a valid drivers license and meet agency underwriting standards if driving on agency business. Not required to transport clients.
Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.

Maintains individual accountability for all tasks assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Directly supervises employees as denoted on the Agency Organizational Chart in accordance with federal, state and/or accreditation requirements.
RequirementsBachelors degree in Accounting with a minimum of four years’ experience in general accounting.Certified Public Accountant license required.
