Military Family and Life Counselor

Military & Family Life Counseling Program (MFLC)  We are currently looking Independent Social Workers, Therapists and Counselors to take a assignment as a Military & Family Life Counselors or Child & Youth Behavioral Counselors in FT Riley KS, FT BLISS TX and FT Hood, TX.  The length of the assignment is 6 months This non-medical counseling service is intended to provide private and confidential, short term, situational, problem solving counseling services, which are targeted to ensure that personal and family issues of military service members do not detract from military operational readiness. Counseling services need to be delivered face-to-face using a "walk-around/coaching" approach, usually at or nearby participating duty stations, but also within the communities. Typically, counselors will provide services via a flexible these services via a flexible forty-hour work week.  Counseling service will assist service members and their families in dealing with deployments, effects of war, relationships, crisis intervention, stress management, family issues, parent-child communications, family separations, reunions and reintegration due to deployments. To be considered for this opportunity you will need the following:

Independent License

2 years experience post licensure
