job summary:

Places orders, expedites back orders, and processes paperwork associated with the Company?s products.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1 : Orders and follows up on orders and back orders, expedites delivery of orders, makes special arrangements for delivery, and communicates the expected delivery date to the receiving department.
2 : Maintains an up-to-date filing system on pricing and vendors to ensure immediate and accurate access to information.
3 : Monitors inventory levels of assigned product categories.
4 : Expedites material through established vendors as dictated by system generated information or manual processes coordinating, a smooth flow of materials through the supply chain.
5 : Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:

1 : Orders and expedites material through vendors.
2 : Monitors inventory levels.
3 : Coordinates smooth flow of materials through supply chain.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1 : Light office and activities and duties.
2 : Occasional material inspections, which may involve some light lifting, to determine suitability of materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

1 : Must possess strong math skills.
2 : Must have a minimum of 3 years purchasing experience within a manufacturing setting.
3 : Must possess the ability to coordinate multiple driven projects.
4 : Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with diverse personalities in a tactful and flexible manner.
5 : Must possess strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
6 : Must be results and people oriented, assertive, and have sound judgment.
7 : Must possess computer systems knowledge (Microsoft office applications)
